It has been 30 years since Neon Genesis Evangelion first aired in 1995, changing the anime landscape forever. To celebrate this milestone, the massive “All of Evangelion” exhibition has landed at Tokyo City View on the 52nd floor of Roppongi Hills Mori Tower.
Running until January 12, 2026, this event is a must-see for fans, offering a deep dive into the franchise’s history against the backdrop of Tokyo’s skyline.
What to Expect
This is the largest collection of Evangelion production materials ever displayed. The exhibition covers everything from the original TV series to the final Thrice Upon a Time movie (2021). You can see rare cels, design sketches, and storyboards that show exactly how this complex world was built.
A highlight for many will be the giant Unit-01 statue greeting you at the entrance. There is also a rare chance to listen to the original audition audio tapes of the voice actors, giving you a glimpse into how the characters were first cast.
If you visit in the evening, stick around for the special lighting effects exclusive to the Tokyo venue. It adds a moody atmosphere that fits the series perfectly.
Themed Cafe & Goods
After the exhibit, you can stop by “THE SUN & THE MOON” cafe on the same floor for collaboration dishes. The menu includes the Unit-01 Spice Chicken Curry (¥1,950) and a Rei Ayanami Chiffon Cake (¥1,790).
There is also an extensive goods shop selling limited-edition items, including a 272-page official catalog. Just keep in mind that you need an exhibition ticket to access the shop.
