Starbucks has reached a significant milestone with the opening of its 2,000th store in Japan, introducing the “Starbucks Teavana Store Ginza Marronnier Street” on February 17, 2025. This new establishment is located on the basement level of the existing Ginza Marronnier Street branch, which spans the first and second floors. Collectively, these three floors are now known as “Starbucks Ginza House.”
The Starbucks Teavana Store Ginza Marronnier Street is dedicated to providing an exceptional tea experience, focusing on high-quality teas and exclusive offerings. One of the standout features is the use of traditional stone-milled Uji matcha, a premium green tea renowned for its rich flavour and vibrant colour. This matcha is the star ingredient in several store-exclusive beverages, including:
GINZA Stone-Milled Matcha Tea Latte (Hot/Iced): A harmonious blend of creamy milk and robust matcha, available for takeaway at ¥1,080 and for in-store enjoyment at ¥1,100.

GINZA Stone-Milled Matcha Frappuccino: A refreshing, blended beverage combining the smoothness of matcha with a cool, icy texture, priced at ¥1,178 for takeaway and ¥1,200 for in-store.

GINZA Stone-Milled Matcha Mousse Tea & Strawberry: A luxurious treat featuring layers of matcha mousse and sweet strawberry, offered at ¥1,453 for takeaway and ¥1,480 for in-store.

In addition to these speciality drinks, the store offers a selection of 7-8 different tea varieties, allowing customers to choose their preferred blend, which is then expertly prepared in a teapot for a personalized tea experience.

The first and second floors of Starbucks Ginza House continue to operate as the Starbucks Reserve Store Ginza Marronnier Street, featuring Princi®, an Italian bakery known for its artisanal breads, pizzas, and sandwiches. Customers can engage with staff to select from a dynamic menu that changes throughout the day, ensuring a fresh and delightful dining experience.
For those seeking exclusive offerings, the second floor presents the “GINZA Cornetti Boccone MATCHA,” a matcha-infused pastry priced at ¥530 for takeaway and ¥540 for in-store, and the “GINZA Double Tall Caramel Macchiato,” available at ¥884 for takeaway and ¥900 for in-store. These unique items are complemented by handcrafted coffees prepared using manual espresso machines, enhancing the personalized touch of the Starbucks experience.
The opening of Starbucks Ginza House not only commemorates the brand’s growth in Japan but also celebrates its return to Ginza, the location of its first Japanese store in 1996. This new flagship store exemplifies Starbucks’ commitment to innovation and quality, offering customers in Tokyo an unparalleled tea and coffee experience.
