In 2025, the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum (TOP Museum) marks its 30th anniversary with a series of compelling exhibitions that delve into the evolution of photography and moving images. Among these, the standout is Luigi Ghirri: Infinite Landscapes<\/em>, the first major museum exhibition in Asia dedicated to the renowned Italian photographer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luigi Ghirri: Infinite Landscapes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Running from July 3 to September 28, 2025, this exhibition offers an in-depth look at Luigi Ghirri’s (1943\u20131992) exploration of colour, light, and everyday scenes. Featuring approximately 130 works, it spans his early series like Kodachrome<\/em> and Still Life<\/em>, as well as photographs capturing European landscapes and the studios of artists such as Giorgio Morandi and architect Aldo Rossi. The exhibition also highlights the contributions of Ghirri’s wife, Paola Borgonzoni, a graphic designer who co-founded the publishing house Punto e Virgola with him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notably, the exhibition will screen the 2022 documentary Infinito<\/em> with Japanese subtitles on August 24 and September 12, accompanied by post-screening talks featuring esteemed guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
