
Mickey Mouse and his friends will be dressed in festive kimonos to greet the New Year. The park will welcome guests with a kadomatsu (Japanese paper pine tree) and goods related to the Chinese zodiac sign for 2023, the Year of the Rabbit.
A kadomatsu decorated with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will be placed at the entrance to the World Bazaar to provide a festive atmosphere for the New Year.
The event’s regular special merchandise will go on sale from 1 December 2022 (Thursday). The line-up features Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in gorgeous kimonos, Judy Hopps, White Rabbit and other characters associated with the Chinese zodiac sign of ‘Rabbit’. The line-up includes kinchaku, chopstick sets, bowls, oshiruko (sweet red bean soup) and other New Year’s items.

In addition, the Sweetheart Café at Tokyo Disneyland and Zambini Brothers Ristorante at Tokyo DisneySea began offering the special sweets “Kuromitsu Jelly & Kinako Mousse with Souvenir Cup” on 26 December (Mon). The set includes a teacup-shaped souvenir cup with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in kimono and characters associated with the Chinese zodiac.
