Discover late-night art, cool crowds, and easy summer evenings across Tokyo’s top museums.
Tokyo’s museums are staying open late this summer for Summer Night Museum 2025. Several major venues will welcome visitors on select evenings so you can see art after work or under the city lights. This is an easy, fun way to enjoy culture without the daytime crowds.

- Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo (Kiyosumi-Shirakawa)
- Tokyo Photographic Art Museum (Ebisu)
- Shibuya Park Avenue Gallery (Shibuya).
Dates & Times
The program runs from 14 August to 26 September 2025. In general, museums take part on Friday evenings from 17:00 onward. The Tokyo Photographic Art Museum also opens on Thursday nights during the period. Note that each museum sets its own final closing time and exact nights, so check the venue schedule before you go.
