Panasonic is launching a new LX-series drum washer/dryer that includes a special laundry course for down jackets. The system was developed in collaboration with Goldwin, the renowned outdoor apparel specialist. Together, they created a wash cycle that gently but effectively cleans down jackets—without damaging the delicate filling.

The Down-Jacket Course uses a gentler washing method compared to traditional cycles. A 60% reduction in water flow is paired with “dense-foam cleaning,” where thick foam envelops dirt—like sweat, mud, and makeup—to lift it away while the drum rotates slowly. This approach avoids harsh spinning that can shift down fillings. Panasonic also applied its low-vibration technology to reduce movement inside the drum. The result is a safe and thorough wash and rinse, even during the spin cycle. The LX-series models will be available starting in early October 2025, with pricing set as open price.
