Nike Files $126K Lawsuit Against Edison Chen Over Unpaid Goods

Nike has filed a lawsuit against Edison Chen, founder of CLOT, seeking USD 126,615.68 from Chen and his company, Juice Los Angeles, for unpaid goods and services, correcting an earlier misreported figure of USD 126 million due to a court clerical error.

The case number is 2:25-cv-07447, filed in the California Central District Court, citing diversity-based breach of contract. Edison Chen was named personally because he served as a personal guarantor for Juice’s Nike account.

This development comes amid the end of CLOT’s long partnership with Nike. After two decades of collaborations—starting in 2006—Chen shifted alliances in October 2023, signing with adidas Originals and launching new sneaker projects in early 2024.

While the specifics of the alleged contractual breach remain unclear, the timing follows the release of popular Nike x CLOT sneakers like the “What The?” Dunk.
