NIGO®️, the founder and designer of HUMAN MADE and the artistic director at KENZO, has teased his first collaboration with Nike: the Air Force 3. This announcement was made through NIGO®️’s official Instagram account, stirring excitement among sneaker enthusiasts and fashion fans alike.
In April 2023, NIGO®️ revealed his partnership with Nike, marking the beginning of this highly anticipated collaboration. Later that year, in November, he was spotted wearing what appeared to be a collaborative footwear piece during his archive sale, “From Me to You,” and a HUMAN MADE pop-up event in New York City. The footwear in question was a low-cut model inspired by the classic brown-layered Air Force 3 High “Escape,” which was originally released in 1988 and reissued in 2005.
In January 2024, during the finale of KENZO’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection runway show in Paris, NIGO®️ showcased a multicolor version of this Air Force 3 collaboration, hinting at the diversity in designs we might expect from this release.
Recently, NIGO®️ posted a picture of the Air Force 3 shoe box on his Instagram, accompanied by the message, “YOU CAN’T PUT NIGO IN A BOX.” Although a specific release date hasn’t been disclosed, the caption hinted, “Coming later this year…,” indicating a possible launch in 2024.
