CASETiFY Announces Collaboration with Takashi Murakami

Renowned contemporary artist Takashi Murakami has partnered with global lifestyle brand CASETiFY to launch an exclusive collection featuring his iconic character, Mr. DOB. This collaboration brings Murakami’s distinctive artistry to everyday tech accessories, allowing fans to incorporate his vibrant designs into their daily lives.

Mr. DOB, introduced in 1993, is a fusion of Western pop culture and Japanese anime aesthetics, embodying Murakami’s Superflat art movement that merges high and low art forms. The CASETiFY collection showcases Mr. DOB across various smartphone cases and tech accessories, reflecting Murakami’s signature style.

Murakami expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “Mr. DOB has been my art partner since the early days of my career, representing my evolution as an artist and my perspective on contemporary culture. Through this collaboration with CASETiFY, I look forward to integrating Mr. DOB into your daily life in a new form.”

CASETiFY CEO Wes Ng shared his excitement, noting that their initial meeting involved hours of discussion on seamlessly blending art into daily digital life. He emphasized that the collaboration pushes the boundaries of art and tech accessories, resulting in a collection that embodies their shared vision.

The TAKASHI MURAKAMI x CASETiFY: MR. DOB collection is set to launch globally on April 11, with select items available for a limited preview starting April 3. Fans can join the waitlist on CASETiFY’s official website to receive updates and gain early access to the collection.
