A popular Helsinki cafe, CAFE AALTO, has opened its first Tokyo outpost inside Spiral Garden on the 4th floor of the Shin-Marunouchi Building on August 29, 2025.

The menu mixes simple Nordic favourites — think salmon soup and cinnamon rolls — with Finnish tableware and furniture inspired by architect Alvar Aalto. The space is bright, minimal and meant to feel like a small urban garden.

The Spiral Garden concept blends gallery, shop and cafe, so you can grab coffee after seeing the exhibition or buy design items on display. The Spiral team says the venue aims to bring “an urban park” feeling into Marunouchi.
