Renowned Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami has collaborated with Major League Baseball (MLB) and media company Complex to launch a limited-edition merchandise collection celebrating the upcoming Tokyo Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs. This exclusive collection will be showcased at a pop-up event in Harajuku, offering fans a unique blend of art and baseball culture.

The collection features a variety of items, including Nike MLB T-shirts and hoodies adorned with Murakami’s iconic flower motif, New Era “59FIFTY” caps, and limited-edition official MLB jerseys of players such as Shohei Ohtani (Dodgers), Yoshinobu Yamamoto (Dodgers), Shota Imanaga (Cubs), and Seiya Suzuki (Cubs). Additionally, fans can purchase trading cards, baseballs, gloves, bats, and keychains, all incorporating Murakami’s distinctive designs.

Beyond the merchandise, the pop-up will feature installations inspired by Murakami’s art, providing an immersive experience for visitors. Entry to the event requires prior reservation, with each individual allowed one entry per day.
This collaboration coincides with the Tokyo Series games scheduled for March 18 and 19 at the Tokyo Dome, marking the 25th anniversary of MLB’s inaugural regular-season games in Japan. The fusion of Murakami’s vibrant art with MLB merchandise offers fans a unique opportunity to celebrate this milestone in style.
