The highly anticipated Fuji Rock Festival ’25 is set to take place from Friday, July 25, to Sunday, July 27, at the Naeba Ski Resort in Yuzawa Town, Niigata Prefecture. As Japan’s premier music festival, Fuji Rock has unveiled its first wave of performing artists, promising an eclectic mix of international and local talent.
Diverse Lineup of International and Japanese Artists
Leading the lineup is UK-based producer and DJ Fred again.., known for his dynamic collaborations and innovative approach to electronic music. Joining him are American funk band Vulfpeck, celebrated for their minimalist sound and energetic performances, and New York’s indie rock ensemble Vampire Weekend, returning to Fuji Rock to headline the final day. Electronic music enthusiasts can look forward to a set by Four Tet, the solo project of Kieran Hebden, renowned for captivating live shows. The festival also welcomes California’s rock trio HAIM, recognized for their harmonious blend of pop and rock.
From the Japanese music scene, the festival features the return of Suchmos, who have recently resumed activities after a hiatus since 2021. Legendary musician Tatsuro Yamashita will make his Fuji Rock debut, bringing decades of experience to the stage. Contemporary artist Vaundy, who recently attracted 76,000 fans over two days at Saitama Super Arena, is also slated to perform.
Other notable acts include the Swedish rock band The Hives, known for their high-energy shows, and the genre-blending UK jazz ensemble Ezra Collective. The festival continues its tradition of showcasing a wide array of genres and artists, ensuring a rich and diverse musical experience for attendees.
