53rd “World Used Camera Fair” Comes to Matsuya Ginza

Tokyo’s biggest used-camera event is back. The 53rd “World Used Camera Fair” runs from Thursday, September 4 to Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Matsuya Ginza, 8F Event Square.

The fair is organised by the I.C.S. Import Camera Society, which has hosted the show at Matsuya since the late 1970s and now runs it twice a year. Expect film bodies, classic lenses, digital gear, and accessories—from rare antiques to near-new stock—brought in by top speciality dealers.

Matsuya notes that the opening time is 11:00; a short entry lottery for the first morning happens from 09:30 to 09:45 on Sep 4. If you skip the lottery, you can still enter after 11:00 from any store entrance and head to the 8th floor.

A wide lineup of well-known booths is scheduled, including Akasaka Camera, Sankyo Camera, Penguin Camera, National Photo, and more, reflecting the event’s long network of member shops. Past editions have drawn big crowds and quick sales on opening day, so plan your target items.

If you’re hunting Leica glass, classic Nikon bodies, or medium-format kits, this fair is the place to compare conditions and talk to specialists in one trip.
